‘Deadpool 2’ Appears To Be Tying In Future Plans Involving ‘X-Force’

Fans have already learned of the mutant Domino’s (Zazie Beetz) inclusion within the Deadpool sequel, but the trailer itself also reveals the Six Pack. Not only that, but Colossus actor Stefan Kapicic revealed that Shatterstar would be in the film as well.

When asked in an interview with MovieWeb about the shot in the trailer where Deadpool looks to be leading a team with Domino and a character that resembles Terry Crews (it is), Kapicic, responded by saying, “That’s not CGI of Terry Crews, that is Terry Crews. You can see it clearly. You can see behind him, Shatterstar, a really cool thing for people to geek out.”

In the Deadpool 2 trailer, Cable faces off against a militarized police unit in riot gear calling themselves the “DMC” which possibly means “Department of Mutant Control.” These shield-bearing soldiers could be a call to the X-Force comicbooks as well, referencing Reverend Stryker and the MRD, a malicious group of extremists that invoke a holy war on mutant-kind.

Whatever the plot may be to this film, it’s sure to stand on its own two feet without relying on a tie-in. Since Cable is known for time travel, perhaps the movie will take place in different timelines, allowing for an even more experimental storyline that brings Deadpool and the Six Pack together. Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 18th, 2018.
