The release date for the Disneyland Resort land is in 2020, but the process has already begun. The new land will be adjacent to the Guardians Attraction, effectively replacing “A Bug’s Land.” According to the blog, part of the land has already closed down in preparation for the remodel, and the rest will go down this summer.
At Disneyland Paris, the new land will revolve around a “reimagined attraction where riders will team up with Iron Man and their favorite Avengers on a hyper-kinetic adventure.” This will also be set to release in 2020.
Marvel fans visiting Disneyland Paris can also expect to see a taste of the superhero action as the park hosts “Marvel Summer of Super Heroes” from June 10 to September 30, 2018, which will be modeled, as said above, after DCA’s “Summer of Heroes” experience that took place last summer.
Disneyland Hong Kong had previously announced the creation of an Ant-Man and the Wasp attraction coming to the park as part of a giant multi-year expansion. Now we have learned that this ride, in which guests will team up with Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne to take on “Arnim Zola and his army of Hydra swarm bots,” will be one of the main features of the new Marvel Land. The park currently has an “Iron Man Experience” attraction to begin the spread of the Marvel presence. The ride opened in 2017 and is already the most popular attraction in the entire park, according to Disney Parks Blog.
No concept art has been released for all of these “super” expansions just yet, but Disney did release a little sneak peek video, to get all the guests excited for what’s to come.
In the meantime, guests at DCA will get to experience the upcoming revamping of Paradise Pier, which is turning into Pixar Pier starting this summer.
The time may almost be here for Avengers: Infinity War, but the countdown begins now to the Marvel Lands at Disney begins now!
