The Iron Man AR Experience will be the first Augmented Reality game from Hasbro, allowing users to wear Tony Stark’s suit and take on the likes of Thanos in an Avengers: Infinity War-style battle. Called the Marvel Avengers: Infinity War Hero Vision Iron Man AR Experience, the products sold for the amount of $49.99 will include an Iron Man Mask, AR Goggles, AR Gauntlet, 3 AR markers, and one infinity stone. However, the app for the game itself will be free and downloadable this spring.
Hasbro’s presser talked about the product before its premiere during 2018’s Toy Fair taking place this coming Friday, teasing what purchasers of the Augmented Reality game would experience:
“This movie-inspired mask features a new experience from Hasbro that combines iconic role play with Augmented Reality (AR) technology. Download the HERO VISION app, place a compatible device inside the AR goggles, place AR markers around the play area, put on the AR mask, and then get ready to see digital images from the Super Hero’s world in front of kids’ eyes. Includes AR mask, AR goggles, gauntlet, three AR markers, and one Infinity Stone. Available at most major retailers and on HasbroToyShop.com. The HERO VISION app will be available Spring 2018 in the App Store and Google Play for select devices.”
Iron Man will only be the first in Hasbro‘s Marvel Hero Vision series of games, much like he was the first superhero for Marvel Studios. Other Marvel characters may include Spider-Man, Captain America, Black Panther, Ant-Man and many others with superpowers worth exploring in Augmented Reality.
