There have been no definite numbers of either Black Panther or previous Marvel titles released as of yet, but Fandango’s Erik Davis was still happy to enjoy the film’s triumph on Twitter.
Big news this morning – #BlackPanther sold more advance tickets on @Fandango in its first 24 hours than any other MCU movie, besting previous record holder Captain America: Civil War. Long live the King! pic.twitter.com/JL1c28AgWm

Davis also gave a statement, released by Fandango adding: “Black Panther is riding an incredible wave of momentum right now. It’s one of the biggest and most anticipated movies to ever open in February, and its trailers have electrified the Internet. Tickets have been going fast ever since presales started on Fandango late Monday.”
According to Deadline, Captain America: Civil War garnered $179 million on its opening weekend, and Black Panther is on a fast track to match the debut numbers of its predecessor. Black Panther will be premiering on February 16, 2018.
