Anticipation is high as Lucasfilm plans to reveal the final trailer for Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker during tonight’s ESPN broadcast of Monday Night Football.

In fact, even this latest trailer has a trailer. It’s a promo that announces the trailer is coming, and it reveals just a bit more of what we can expect when we see the final trailer released during the NFL game.

It’s a quick shot of the gathered Resistance Fleet, led by a familiar sight, the Millenium Falcon. Quite a few easter eggs, such as The Ghost, the feature ship from the animated series Rebels, and a U-Wing can be seen by those fans obsessive enough to watch this bit of footage repeatedly. Both ships have previously appeared in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, along with the name of the captain of The Ghost, the twi’lek Hera Syndulla, who was a featured character in Rebels.

What else might this final trailer reveal? Will we see Emperor Palpatine at last, no longer just a disembodied ominous laugh? Will more of the fate of Rey or Kylo Ren be hinted at or revealed? And just how did C-3PO get those red-lit eyes?

Tune in tonight to see. And don’t forget to check out the endless repeat viewings and analysis this final trailer will undergo in the weeks to come as we close in on less than 100 days until the December 20 premiere. Tickets for the film go on sale right after tonight’s final trailer debuts. You can catch up on everything Episode IX on StarWars.com!
