Jon Hamm, Jon Snow, Batman, Superman, And All The Drama Surrounding DC Films

The Batman, set to be directed by Matt Reeves, is said to be a look back at a younger Bruce Wayne as he becomes Batman. This would rule out both Ben Affleck and Jon Hamm, but also wouldn’t hinder Affleck’s return to the mask after handling his personal issues. Rumor has it that Warner Bros. has requested digital mock-ups for The Batman featuring Kit Harington, the actor who plays Jon Snow in Game of Thrones.

This isn’t to say that he’s guaranteed anything, and his reps have responded to the rumors by saying they haven’t heard anything. It’s also not uncommon for studios to request digital mock-ups for actors that may fit the role. Revenge of the Fans’ Editor-in-Chief, Mario-Francisco Robles, leaves the possibility up in the air by saying “there’s no reason to believe this went anywhere. It may have, and it may not have.”

Robles also said that Harrington wasn’t the only actor that Warner Bros. requested a mock-up for:

“What’s interesting about the other actor – the one I’m not comfortable sharing just yet – is that he’s far closer to the Affleck mold than any of these other names I’ve heard. Because of that, I think he may end up being the actual frontrunner – which is why I don’t want to run it until I’m absolutely positive.”

It’s all only speculation at this point, but one production we are certain of is the Joker solo film featuring Joaquin Phoenix. While we’re still a way out from seeing the film in theaters, fans are nonetheless excited about the possibilities. Courtesy of digital artist camw1n on Instagram, we have some fan art that features Phoenix as the Joker, locked away in Arkham Asylum, somewhere he’s very familiar with. Check it out below!

That’s all of the updates from the DCEU as of now, but when we get more, we’ll bring it to you ASAP! Aquaman opens in theaters on December 14th.
