Across the pond, it was announced that Disneyland Paris would be changing the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to a new Marvel-Themed attraction, featuring Iron Man and some of the other Avengers. This also comes on the heels of the announcement that Disneyland Paris will also be introducing Marvel characters to the park for guests to meet for the “Summer of Superheroes” experience, coming this summer. Concept art is shown below:
Additionally, Disneyland Paris’ hotel, called Disney’s Hotel New York, will also be getting a revamp to showcase the world of Marvel. Over the next two years, the hotel will become “Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel.”
According to Disney Parks Blog, the hotel will feature contemporary artwork and decorative themes to showcase heroes like Iron Man, The Avengers, and Spider-Man to name a few. The completed hotel will be finished in 2020. Parisian fans can enjoy their favorite Marvel characters inside the park and out, starting this summer.
Over in Asia, it was also announced that Disneyland Hong Kong would be getting an Ant-Man and the Wasp themed ride. And Ant-Man ride had been previously announced, but now it seems they will be incorporating both films into the shooter-type ride. The ride will be coming at some point this year, and will be replacing Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters. Original concept art for the ride is pictured below.
Disneyland Hong Kong is also in the process of making a long-term revamp and expansion to the park, which includes the creation of a whole Marvel-themed land in the park, and a brand new Avengers ride. No date has been set for the completion of this massive project yet, but it will surely set the precedent for the presence of a full Marvel land at Disney Parks.
So, if you fancy a trip to one of these Disney parks in the next few years, be sure to fly by and greet Tony Stark, Peter Quill, and the rest of the Avengers gang, all around the world.
