Web-Slinging Designs: 12 Amazing Pieces Of Unused Spider-Man Concept Art

When it comes to creating a movie, especially one as stylistic as a comicbook film, concept art is where it’s at for getting what you see in your mind to be represented in a more comprehensive form to others. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but at the least, it helps artistic teams in charge of the vision understand what will and won’t work for the project and potentially why. For better or worse, here goes a list of 12 Spider-Man concept art designs that didn’t quite make it into the Marvel movies.


Iron Spider



How cool would it have been if Peter Parker got to wear a comicbook accurate Iron Spider suit? When it was teased at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming that was almost the gameplan, but the new suit that Tony Stark would gift the young hero would look much different.





This concept art is pretty spot on to what we saw from Michael Keaton’s portrayal of the villainous Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming.


Lean Mean Rhino



At the end of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, we got a look at a Rhino that had a much more militaristic design than the one above.
