There is a lot going on in the world of Marvel on screen at the moment, a lot of which is certainly geared towards older audiences or fans that have been following the franchise for years. For example, there’s Netflix’s Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. You also can’t forget Avengers: Infinity War which is getting a PG-13 rating, but still may fly over the radar in some aspects for fans new to the Marvel Universe. So what about the newer and younger audiences?
Marvel is cooking up a new animated project to help connect to this important demographic through ways that feel authentic, relatable, and organic. Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors can certainly get the job done right, and they’ve pulled on an all-star cast of voice actors to help seal the deal.
You’ll find a few household names as far as the character roster goes, including Captain Marvel and Kamala Khan, AKA Ms. Marvel. The miniseries featuring a handful of shorts leading up to the full animated film will also shine a light on some lesser known characters including Squirrel Girl, Spider Gwen/Ghost Spider, America Chavez, Patriot, Quake, and a few others.
Inferno will also make an appearance with Tyler Posey doing the voice acting for the fiery hero, and he spoke about the series this week.
