Travis Charest Cover Of ‘X-Men: Red’ Reveals Bearded Nightcrawler And Gambit

Marvel may be returning to its roots with the Legacy initiative, but that doesn’t mean that bold design choices won’t make their way into the comicbooks. Travis Charest’s cover for March’s X-Men: Red #2 features Nightcrawler sporting a Game of Thrones level of facial hair.

Kurt Wagner’s face bristles shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to fans, since his biological father, Azazel was perfectly capable of growing some demonic scruff of his own.

However, there have still been speculations as to how Nightcrawler could grow such a fully formed beard, considering the fact that blue fur already covers most of his body.
