Tom Holland May Have Actually Confirmed ‘Avengers 4’ Theory During ‘Infinity War’ Press Run

By now, if you haven’t heard about Tom Holland’s penchant for spoiling moments in films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you simply haven’t been paying attention. The legend has grown so tall that Marvel Studios has used it as fodder for announcements, i.e. Spider-Man: Far From Home. For the most part, he hasn’t given up the farm, and the times where he did let too much slip have ended up being more on the funny side than damaging. It’s still fun to talk about, especially by his co-stars, who love giving the young actor a hard time about everything they can.

It turns out that we’ve also missed some of the moments he’s let slip due to the fact that we didn’t quite understand what he was saying at the time, but as more happens in the MCU, the pieces of the puzzle get put together more and more. This is leading some fans to pour over his old interviews with a fine-toothed comb to find anything that could be a clue into the future, and one gem has already been discovered.

While on the press tour for Avengers: Infinity War, Holland was paired up for interviews with Benedict Cumberbatch to help prevent him from spoiling anything. Apparently, even that didn’t help. During an interview with Access Hollywood, Holland and Cumberbatch were asked about the difficulty in delivering their lines. Before Cumberbatch can explain, Holland interjects with this:

“He has the most difficult lines though. He has to talk about so much Quantum Realm stuff. I just have to talk about, ‘Yeah, man, that’s awesome!’ So mine is easy but his is so difficult!”

While it seemed rather innocuous at the time, after watching Infinity War, we know that Doctor Strange doesn’t talk about the Quantum Realm; that’s an Ant-Man thing. What’s likely is that it’s actually content from Avengers 4 that Holland’s talking about, and it may confirm the theory that the Quantum Realm is what our heroes will use to avenge the loss to Thanos. Now, all we have to find out is how…

Learn more about the Quantum Realm by watching Ant-Man and the Wasp, in theaters now. Avengers 4 will be in theaters on May 3rd, 2019.
