The Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to show it’s stuff when Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27th. The last 10 years of content have been purposefully orchestrated by Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige and his team to be interwoven to tell stories in a way that has never before been seen in films. Three very important actors in the already star-studded roster are definitely Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Tom Holland ( Spider-Man), and Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange).
Hiddleston’s character Loki seems to always be at the center of mischief wherever it can be found. You may have noticed Thanos’ band of menacing goons known as the Black Order seemingly holding Loki captive in the most recent Avengers: Infinity War trailer that released earlier this year. The god of mischief was also seen handing the Tesseract over to the Mad Titan in the movie trailer, which may lead to a full-on double crossover to the dark side. Only time will tell if Loki can truly be trusted.
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man was introduced in Civil War in 2016. The young Peter Parker will play a big role in the war to come, especially considering how Tony Stark gave him an upgraded “Iron Spider” suit that will hopefully give him a competitive edge when the fight makes its way to Earth. Spidey certainly has a lot to prove as the newest addition to the team. Hopefully, he can hang in there and be a big help when the world needs him the most.
Doctor Stephen Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, is also one you need to keep your eye on in Infinity War. We know from the original source material and from the MCU that Strange is in possession of the Time Stone held within the Eye of Agamotto, which he keeps comfortably around his neck virtually at all times. In the movie trailer, you can see Ebony Maw from the Black Order torturing Strange very horribly. One can only hope that he doesn’t give up the Infinity Stone to monsters like them!
During the press stop in London, the actors behind these three very important Marvel characters spoke with Good Morning America about the large-scale cinematic event that is Infinity War.
