The Wait Is OVER… The First Trailer For Captain Marvel Is Finally Here!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages… The wait is over! Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been as patient as ever in their wait for the first trailer to be released, and this morning on Good Morning America, Brie Larson joined the show from The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. to finally deliver what we’ve all been waiting for.

It’s only fitting that Larson debuts the first official trailer from Captain Marvel to the public from the Air and Space Museum as her character, Carol Danvers, is not only a skilled pilot in the United States Air Force, but she’s also part of the specialized military team of the Kree known as Starforce along with some familiar faces. With the film set in the 1990’s, Lee Pace’s Ronan the Accuser and Djimon Hounsou’s Korath the Pursuer are both back as part of the Starforce as both characters have yet to be excummunicaed from their home due to their nefarious actions.

The first trailer from Captain Marvel is exactly what we’ve come to expect from first trailers. It gives us a taste of the film’s landscape, the main characters involved, and an idea of what the protagonist is capable of. While Captain Marvel isn’t going to be an origin story in the normal fashion, as Danvers is already going to have her powers, the trailer does tease some flashback shots that will likely give us a chance to see how she came to possess them. We also get a look at a young Nick Fury, Jude Law’s character, and some classic 90’s set pieces. Check out the trailer below!

Captain Marvel flies into theaters on March 8th, 2019.
