The Cosmic Ghost Rider Gets His Own Series With Other Strange Marvel Characters

Frank Castle, whom you may know as The Punisher, underwent an odd and unexpected twist of fate in the Thanos Wins comicbook series that just wrapped up earlier this year. After watching everyone he knew die right before his eyes, heroes, villains, and innocents alike, he decided to make a deal. However, the bargain he made with a certain somebody by the name of Mephisto changed his very existence until almost the end of all life in the universe.

Frank Castle became the next spirit of vengeance, also known as Ghost Rider, and after being endowed with the power cosmic, thanks to Galactus, he’s riding a motorcycle in space!

Although the Thanos Wins comicbook series is complete, there is certainly enough interest around the Cosmic Ghost Rider to give him his own run to detail what he was up to after all life on Earth ended. According to the description provided by Marvel’s Digital Comics Shop, Cosmic Ghost Rider #1 comes out on July 4th and reads:

“EXPLODING FROM THE PAGES OF THANOS! Frank Castle was the Punisher. A deal with the devil made him Ghost Rider. A deal with Galactus made him cosmic. A deal with Thanos made him…DEAD?!? Not to worry, he’s coming back, and he’s got a plan to make the universe a better place that’s going to lead him into an even CRAZIER adventure than he’s ever been in! Join hot new comic (and cosmic?) writer Donny Cates (THANOS, DOCTOR STRANGE) as he pushes his wildest creation past the breaking point!”

The second issue will debut on August 1st, also written by Donny Cates with art from Dylan Burnett. Geoff Shaw is doing the covers, and this one, in particular, shows a HUGE space shark about to chow down on Frank!

“The Rider is out to change the universe for the better, starting with an idea so simple he cannot believe no one has ever done it before! But as with all things worth doing, it’s not going to be easy. For one thing: SPACE SHARKS. For another? Let’s just say it’s never good to run into Galactus during a bar fight.”
