The ‘Captain Marvel’ Working Title May Give Us A Little More Insight As To The Film’s Direction

Slowly but surely, information has been making its way out in regards to the upcoming Captain Marvel movie. While the film isn’t set to hit theaters until March 8th, 2019, the anticipation has been growing. Set photos, including the shot of Brie Larson in costume, have hit the Internet and been shared across all social media platforms.

Now we have an actual working title for the film, Open World. While all information that’s out there currently is merely speculation at this point, it seems safe to assume what it all means. As with most working titles, it’s likely to change before the film hits theaters, but it’s eye-opening nonetheless.

Add “Open World” in with Carol Danver’s green suit and it looks like we’re going to see Earth opening up to extraterrestrials again. It has been confirmed that the Kree-Skrull war will be playing a major role in Captain Marvel.

Captain Marvel also looks to be a major factor in the upcoming, still untitled Avengers 4. With Brie Larson locked in as the title character, as well as Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), and Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) all on board, Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has some very big things ahead!

Black Panther hits theaters this Friday (2/16/2018), Avengers: Infinity War will be here on May 4th, and Captain Marvel comes March 8th, 2019!
