We’re still over eight months away from finding out exactly how the original Avengers team and their surviving allies are going to redeem the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and avenge the defeat that they experienced at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. With multiple films already planned, there has to be a way that some of our heroes are going to be brought back from the dead, or wherever they were taken (possibly the Soul Realm) when Thanos snapped his fingers after acquiring all six Infinity Stones and making them all turn into dust.
While we’re sure that Marvel Studios would like to have been able to wait to start production on Spider-Man: Far From Home, at least until the day after Avengers 4 is released, but schedules have to be met and the sequel to 2016’s Spider-Man: Homecoming is slated to kick off Phase 4 of the MCU on July 5th, 2019. With Avengers 4 not opening in theaters until May 3rd, 2019, that doesn’t leave nearly enough time, so, Tom Holland and company are busy shooting the next film featuring Mr. Peter Parker in London as we speak!
As with all new films, we’re going to be getting some new additions into this chapter, both good guys and bad, but we’re also getting some returnees. Michael Keaton is back to reprise his role as the Vulture, Jacob Batalon is back as Peter’s best friend Ned, and Zendaya is returning as M.J. Also back for another round is the incomparable Marissa Tomei who stars as Peter’s Aunt May. Not only has it been reported, we also have confirmation now as Reddit user Jorgy_Morgy uploaded a video from the set of Spider-Man: Far From Home that shows Peter Parker and Aunt May reunite. Check it out below…
Although the clip doesn’t give any plotlines away, it does show that even though Peter is across the pond in London, family is always close by. What evil will he have to battle this time around? There’s been plenty of speculation, but we’ll refrain from assumptions until we have something official.
