Six Actors Left Unrecognizable After Their ‘Super’ Makeup Jobs!

Michael Jai White As Spawn

Michael Jai White’s take on Spawn not only demanded great effort on his part, but also the makeup team’s as well. Though White was buried underneath an immense amount of makeup, leaving only his eyelashes exposed (since he had to wear thick contact lenses throughout the film), he was impressed with the freedom of movement and facial expressions the mask allowed.

“The makeup artists were amazing,” White told AV Club in an interview. “They had a very malleable mask comprised of about eight pieces, so your face could move freely. It’s very important to be able to express human emotion through all of that grotesqueness. You still have to connect with the audience, and that was a bit of a task, looking like I did.”
