The speed on which the releases of superhero films hitting theaters in 2018 is staggering. Black Panther took the world by storm, along with Deadpool’s February opening weekend box office record. Avengers: Infinity War hit theaters a little more than a week ago, and it’s all anyone can talk about and rightfully so. Later this summer, July 6th to be exact, Ant-Man and the Wasp will fly into theaters, and Venom opens on October 5th. Next though, and the one we’re focused on here, is Deadpool 2!

Ryan Reynolds, who has completely encapsulated the role of Deadpool, has been tweeting about the sequel for nearly a year. He’s tweeted movie posters, trailers, memes, jokes, and anything else he feels like, just to ensure, with all of the blockbuster comicbook films coming out, that the Regenerating Degenerate doesn’t get lost in the mix.

Just like his anti-hero alter-ego, you never know what you’re going to get from Reynolds (except that he doesn’t envision Deadpool being a trilogy). His social media game is on another level and he uses it to take jabs both personally, like at his wife Blake Lively, and professionally, like at the impending 20th Century Fox acquisition by Disney.

With all of that said, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that Reynolds has shocked the world once again with another one of his antics. This time, he’s taking a pass on Betty White for another legendary performer, Céline Dion. No, it’s not the Titanic sequel, it’s still Deadpool 2, but that doesn’t mean that the film doesn’t deserve a power ballad like Leo and Kate.
