Opening Scene Of Todd McFarlane’s ‘Spawn’ Script Revealed

After years of inaction, Todd McFarlane’s Spawn is finally getting its long-awaited reboot, written and directed by the creator himself. The Image Comics founder has recently teased a photo on Twitter, showing his script progress. Check out the sneak peek below.

In the posted dialogue, two characters interact at a shooting range. One of them is Detective Twitch Williams, a private investigator for the NYPD. The other could very well be Daniel Llonso, the main protagonist of the Curse Of The Spawn graphic novel series. If that is the case, then one has to wonder if Al Simmons will make an appearance. Of course, the name “Danny” could just be a coincidence or some type of nod.

The film’s total cost will supposedly land around $10-12 million, allowing for a purposefully low-budget horror/thriller style that pits the susceptible minds of two NYPD detectives against a looming, supernatural threat.
