Manga illustrator Yusuke Murata has taken on some heavy-duty projects. One of his earliest, most notable works is a collaborative effort with writer Riichiro Inagaki on Eyeshield 21, a comedic Manga about football which culminated in a 2002-2009 print run and a television show that lasted several seasons.
Murata’s work on the adaptation of the webcomic known as One-Punch Man by artist and writer ONE has been an incredibly successful endeavor, giving readers a look into the life of Saitama, a frighteningly over-powered regular Joe who’s only a superhero for fun. The popularity of the manga has resulted in an anime show with animation done by Madhouse (season 1) and J.C. Staff (season 2) studios.
Murata will now be taking on another adaptation that is popular with both western and eastern audiences. One involving a time-traveling DeLorean.
