New Cover Artwork For ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’ PS4 Game Released

Marvel is steadily in development of their new Spider-Man game for the PlayStation 4 and they are not hesitating to show fans sneak peaks to excite them even more! With the annual video game expo, E3, coming up very soon, PlayStation has announced that the new Spidey game will be one-fourth of the company’s presentation. In fact, the game has been the largest game in development for the past six months. In development partnership with Insomniac Games, the game will be simply called Marvel’s Spider-Man, as a part of Marvel’s new Marvel Games division and Sony Interactive Entertainment.

We are sure to get a lot more information on the game after E3 next year, but this week, we got a first look at some concept art for the game, drawn by longtime Marvel illustrator, Alexander Lozano. Lozano took to Twitter to express his excitement in being an artist for the game.

Lozano’s art will be featured as the cover art for European game magazines, according to Bill Rosemann, Marvel Games Executive Creative Director in promotion for the games worldwide release this fall.

The time and effort being put into this game show that Marvel and Sony expect it to be a massive release for the new games division. Ideally, this will be the start to a games franchise akin to the Lord of the Rings and Star Wars game series’, meaning games releasing which means synergy with the Marvel films, but a universe all its own. At least, this is the hope of the game creators and directors of Marvel Games. There’s a wealth of material to pull from, after all.

Besides this amazing cover art, Marvel has also released info on the new villain for the game, Shocker, as well as some preliminary gameplay videos. With the release date finally approaching, Marvel will have one last chance at this years E3 to tease the game that video game and Spider-Man fans have been waiting for.

Marvel’s Spider-Man will release to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gaming platforms on September 7, 2018.
