Spoiler Warning: This article contains spoilers for Thanos #14 by Donny Cates, Geoff Shaw, Antonio Fabela and Clayton Cowles, now on-sale.
Thanos is a name regarded with the utmost terror and simultaneous mystery, as the Mad Titan’s origin has been the subject of debate. The upcoming Avengers: Infinity War will be an all-out celestial battle for the fate of the universe, with Thanos’s search for the remaining infinity stones at the center. However, the comicbooks have been telling a more in-depth tale.
A version of the Ghost Rider, riding a celestial Hell Cycle, has been sent back from the future, where Thanos is a grizzled ruler of the universal expanse.
The creative team for Thanos #14 spends a great deal of time delving into Thanos’s backstory, explaining all the way back to his birth on planet Titan. However, visions of the future where Thanos holds a brutal victory over every heroic opposition is always highly anticipated.
The likes of King Thor, Captain America, Namor and all of Atlantis, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Maestro Hulk, and Shi’ar Royal Guard all fell under Thanos’s bootheels.
