We’re marching into March with a plethora of fanciful holidays – 31, to be exact – for you to commemorate this month! Let’s start things off with March 1-8, below.
March 1: National Peanut Butter Lovers Day
For many Americans (minus the approximate 1.3% who are allergic), peanut butter is a tried and true classic of the lunch room… or the breakfast table, or snack time, or anytime, really. In fact, it’s been reported that you can find a jar of PB in about ¾ of US homes. That certainly should qualify the spread as a staple, right? So today go nuts – or should we say ‘go legume,’ since peanuts aren’t actually nuts! – and indulge in your favorite creamy, crunchy, and/or flavored butters. Better yet, how about using your brand of choice in some delicious recipes? We’re talking peanut butter cookies, shakes, dips, sauces, or even hummus! (And please deliver your creations straight to me for a taste test, thanks.)
March 2: National Salesperson Day
From clothing stores to software products and everything in between, millions of people have and/or currently work in sales. These passionate, disciplined, empathetic, resilient individuals have a lot to deal with – the least of which are their fellow humans. Now, even the best of us have probably gotten a little heated when it comes down to purchasing something from a salesman/woman; I’ll be the first to admit that I have. So let’s make a resolution, starting today and lasting forever, to be more pleasant to those who are only trying to help you and working hard at it! Kindness makes the world a better place, doesn’t it?
