Marvel Studios Created A 10th Anniversary Celebration Website And New Posters

In a few weeks, we will get the 20th MCU film in theaters, Ant-Man and the Wasp. What an accomplishment for everyone at Marvel Studios! In addition to that, as some may know, this year marks the 10th anniversary since the inception of the MCU, starting with Jon Favreau’s Iron Man in 2008, the humble movie that started it all.

This feat of creating an intertwining and dynamic cinematic world that has lasted 10 years (and shows no signs of slowing down or shrinking) seems to be a year-long celebration. This year, in fact, the highly anticipated Marvel Studios San Diego Comic-Con panel will solely focus on a 10-year anniversary presentation, rather than scoops about the upcoming films. We don’t know exactly what this means yet. Maybe some cast reunions are in order, or perhaps some never before seen footage or concept art from some of the previous films will be included in the presentation, but whatever the case, the first 10 years will remain the focus of 2018.

Ahead of this, Marvel Studios has launched a website to commemorate some of the most memorable characters from the first 20 films (yes, including Ant-Man and the Wasp.) The website features posters, some of which were released back in February, and a comprehensive timeline and recap of the MCU from Iron Man until now. There is also merch, Marvel Studios news, ticketing options, and trailers for the films.

What is most interesting about the timeline featured on the website is that you can filter the results by character, franchise, or Infinity Stone. That means you can look through and see exactly when each Stone first appeared in the MCU and every film it appeared in since. No more confusing the Space Stone with the Reality Stone or anything like that! The timeline can get complicated over the course of 20 films, so this is an interesting tool to keep fans all caught up for the future of our heroes.
