Since the very first Iron Man movie back in 2008, the goal put forth was to create something inspiring and memorable that had never been done before in film by fabricating an immersive cinematic universe across many movies. Marvel Studios, with Kevin Feige at the spearhead, executed this exceptionally well, and here we are ten years later with Avengers: Infinity War to look at as a prime example of what can be accomplished with the right team of people and intention.
In celebration of all of this hard work and the amazing fan base that continues to show their support, Marvel and Disney donated over $1 million dollars to two amazing children’s charities according to the official press release from the Walt Disney Company. The team will collectively be donating $1.25 million through Marvel Studios: Hero Acts, granting $450,000 to Starlight Children’s Foundation and $800,000 to Make-A-Wish.
Kevin Feige said, “We are proud to donate to Make-A-Wish and Starlight Children’s Foundation. It is an honor to make a meaningful contribution to these two organizations that continually strive to enhance the lives of seriously ill children.”
Chris Helfrich, the CEO of Starlight Children’s Foundation expressed his admiration and gratitude saying the following,
“Every kid dreams of transforming into their favorite Marvel superhero — and a hospitalized child is no different. Thanks to the generous support of Marvel Studios and The Walt Disney Company, tens of thousands of children in hospitals across the country will now have the opportunity to be transformed into Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Panther, and other amazing superheroes with their very own Marvel Super Hero Starlight Gown.”
The super-heroic gowns are pictured above.
