It’s hard to believe that Solo: A Star Wars Story is less than two months from hitting theaters. While they released the teaser trailer for the film on February 5th of this year, there hasn’t been much promotion put behind the movie, at least in comparison to what we’re all used to with most Star Wars films. That was until these last couple of days. Now we’ve got a brand new theatrical poster for it, a full trailer, and it’s popping up in advertising. All that we’ve come to expect!
Let’s start with the theatrical poster we’ve been waiting for. The Solo poster features Alden Ehrenreich, who plays Han Solo, front and center with his blaster. He’s flanked by the ever-present Chewbacca, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, and Thandie Newton. Clarke will be playing Qi’Ra, Glover will be Lando Calrissian, Harrelson is playing Tobias Beckett, and Newton as Val. Also part the cast, but not featured on the poster is Paul Bettany, who is playing Dryden Vos, and as he has since The Force Awakens, Joonas Suotamo will be suiting up as Chewy!
In a new promotional spot for Solo, French car manufacturer Renault France has teamed up with the film to get the word out on their brand, as well as tease an exciting train heist from the film. Although it’s not quite sure how much of the footage is actually from the film, we do recognize some of it that’s also featured in the trailer. Check out the minute-long promo spot below.
