Kevin Feige Let’s Us In On The Future Of The MCU’s Sorcerer Supreme!

Marvel Studios has been able to accomplish something that nobody thought possible when they first started 10 years ago and that’s to build a comprehensive universe without their biggest franchises attached. Sure, Iron Man may seem like a giant now, but he wasn’t on the same level of popularity as the X-Men, Fantastic Four, or Spider-Man. And yes, Peter Parker is now in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but most of us remember a time when we could only dream of that happening. Taking fairly obscure characters, at least in the eyes of the casual fan, and making them household names has seemingly become easy for them at this point.

Yes, the Hulk, Captain America, and Thor were well-known characters, but when a studio is able to take the Guardians of the Galaxy and turn them into the juggernaut they are now is nothing short of impressive. Not only are they making great films, great actors are signing on to play the titular characters. Let’s use Doctor Strange as an example…

With Oscar-nominated Benedict Cumberbatch in the driver’s seat, we know we’re going to get an incredible performance from him everytime he suits up as Dr. Stephen Strange. He was great in the first film, he followed that up with a solid cameo in Thor: Ragnarok, and once again proved his worth in Avengers: Infinity War. The question with him now is what happens moving forward? He was lost to the snap of Thanos, but did he see it coming? Does the future he saw have him in it or was his death truly a sacrifice?
