**Major SPOILERS for Avengers: Infinity War ahead!**
After the events of Avengers: Infinity War, where we were forced to watch more than a handful of our favorite heroes die at the fingertips of Thanos the Mad Titan, it’s safe to say that no one is, well, safe. Josh Brolin did an excellent job playing a villain that you love to hate and also making you understand his reasoning behind making tough decisions. You know, like destroying half of the living beings in the universe…
Among those we lost were Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Groot, Bucky Barnes, Falcon, and Spider-Man, and that doesn’t even cover the ones who were murdered by the Mad Titan, like Loki, Vision, and his own daughter, Gamora.
In an interview with USA Today, Brolin recalled what it was like finding out for the first time how many deaths there were at his Infinity Gauntlet-wearing hand:
“I was literally sitting in the theater going, ‘Oh my God. Oh my God. Spider-Man just disintegrated. That’s not OK.’ I looked at Hemsworth and he looked at me. He smiled and was like, ‘Your career is over.'”
As for other non-finger snap related deaths that took place in Avengers: Infinity War, Loki ended up being choked to death by Thanos in the very first few minutes of the film. In the same interview, Brolin had this to say about killing Hiddleston’s character: “He had been with that character for so long. And he’s so lauded for doing it. Tom was so vulnerable at that moment. So choking him out wasn’t the most fun thing I have ever done.”
