On its way to becoming the biggest film in the history of Marvel Studios, Avengers: Infinity War brought us some things we could only dream of as kids growing up with a love for comicbooks. To have that many characters in a live-action superhero film seemed impossible until the studio built the Marvel Cinematic Universe into what it has become.
Even with all of the moments that we witnessed, both funny and sad, there was so much more that the Russo Brothers and company wanted to bring us. When editing a film, some things end up on the cutting room floor, but luckily for us, Marvel’s Pete Thompson has published some incredible concept art that shows us what could have been. Lets first take a look at some of the scenes we’ll all recognize from the film…
The main reason some of our heroes went to Wakanda in the first place was to extract the Mind Stone and destroy it before Thanos could get ahold of it. In this piece, Scarlet Witch looks over Vision as Cap, Black Widow, Black Panther, and company try to hold off the Black Order and Thanos’ army.
The Thresher Attack On Wakanda
As our heroes fought to save the universe, Thanos’ army unleashed these weapons in the battle. Ultimately, it would be one of their own weapons that took out Proxima Midnight as she took on Okoye, Black Widow, and Scarlet Witch.
The image above is a more devastating look at how the battle was envisioned with the Threshers and Outriders wreaking havoc on the nation of Wakanda.
