‘Guardians of the Galaxy 3’ Has A Definite Release Date

The stellar release of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 in 2017 has fans ready for a third adventure with the now-teenaged Groot and the rest of the gang. We know we will see the Guardians doing their part in the fight against Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, but things have been previously uncertain regarding when a Guardians 3 will come out.

Director of both Guardians films, James Gunn, has finally set the record straight about when we can expect a Guardians of the Galaxy 3 via Twitter.

Essentially, this means that events of Volume 3 could pick up after the smoke clears from the two-part Infinity War saga.

Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige have already announced three planned film release dates in 2020, although it is yet unconfirmed as to which films will be released on each date. We can now safely presume that one of the three 2020 release dates will be Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

The confirmed released dates in 2020 are May 1, August 7, and November 1.

The last two Guardians films were summer releases, but that could easily change depending what else will be on the roster come 2020.

Whatever the exact date may be, we know that the film will remain in the qualified hands of James Gunn.

Catch the Guardians of the Galaxy in Avengers: Infinity War on May 4th and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which is available now on home media.
