Just when you thought that things couldn’t get any wilder, Marvel releases Infinity Wars #3 to prove that readers need to stay on their toes while following this story. We catch up with Requiem, or in this case, Gamora as her true identity was revealed in the last issue. She’s been busy between killing Thanos the Mad Titan and more recently securing all of the Infinity Stones in her clutches.
Her motives thus far have been a little hard to pin down, but we know that she’s plotting something now that she’s got them.
One aspect of her quest we know has to do with the Soul Stone and rebalancing it while reuniting with the portion of herself that was locked inside of the gem. It’s tricky business, but there isn’t much that one can’t do with all six of the stones in hand.
So far, everything has been going according to plan for Gamora until Loki shows up and tries to get in her ear about ways he can be of assistance. With many heroes at the ready as well, Gamora decides that now is the proper time to utilize all of her power.
Gamora attempts to bind the heroes together and set them on a course straight into the Soul Gem, but somewhere along the way, things get a little weird.
The first indication of things going slightly awry comes from Captain America and Doctor Strange who are beginning to merge with one another as they are transported away. Unfortunately for them, this is only foreshadowing of a much bigger picture.
