After all of the excitement and misery surrounding Marvel’s last installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’ll be nice to have a little bit of a side plot and comedic break to catch our breath with Ant-Man and the Wasp. Paul Rudd is putting on the suit again, ready to face any threat no matter the size, and this time around he has a partner who’s packing more than a sting.
That’s right, returning again for the sequel to the first Ant-Man film is Evangeline Lilly as Hope Pym, the daughter of Hank Pym, the first Ant-Man, and the creator of these amazing suits. Hope adopts the mantle of the Wasp from her mother, Janet van Dyne, who we know tragically ended up being stuck in the Quantum Realm.
So, in her absence, we have Hope kicking some serious tail as the Wasp alongside Rudd’s Ant-Man as they take on a villain known as Ghost, who is abusing stolen tech taken from the Pyms.
From the trailer, it appears Ghost is going to give them a run for their money and take up a large section of the main story arc. There will also hopefully be some connecting factors to Avengers: Infinity War considering Ant-Man and the Wasp were nowhere to be found due to the house arrest factor elaborated on by the Russo Brothers.
