Finn Jones Talks About The Heroes For Hire And ‘Iron Fist’ Season 2

In just over a month we’ll be getting our first in-depth look into Iron Fist Season 2, which is looking pretty promising surrounding a lot of the breadcrumbs and trailers that have been surfacing in order to build some hype for the protector of K’un-Lun. Finn Jones will be returning as the Immortal Iron Fist himself, AKA Danny Rand, and after his latest appearance in the second season of Luke Cage, many have been anticipating a “Heroes For Hire” team up in the making!

Both Luke Cage and Iron Fist go way back in the original source material and help launch the Heroes Fore Hire squad which ended up evolving over time with a host of awesome members, including Misty Knight and Colleen Wing, both of whom are already existing and functioning characters within their cinematic universe. The extended list even includes the likes of Ant-Man, Ghost Rider, and The Punisher. How cool would it be to see these guys, or at the very least Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle, join up with the gang?

Sadly, we might not be seeing many Heroes For Hire developments any time soon. According to LRM, Finn Jones, attended a press roundtable and had an opportunity to express his interests in team-up opportunities in the future, but as for Mike Colter, don’t expect to see him in the next season of Iron Fist as Luke Cage. Jones said the following:

“Well, Mike isn’t in Season 2, unfortunately. I wish he was, I love working with Mike. I hope to see more Heroes for Hire in the future. I think it’s a great pairing, I think Heroes For Hire and Daughters of the Dragon is just gold! So hopefully that will happen later on down the line, but right now we’re just focusing on a true Iron Fist story.”

This decision to keep the story focused on solely Iron Fist is in part why the team brought on Clayton Barber, the fight choreographer for Black Panther to help bring back that old school kung-fu vibe that the show needs. There really is no rush, and hopefully, as these characters and their respective shows begin to develop on their own, we’ll see more of the team-ups that we’ve been hoping for.
