There’s nothing much more fun than discussing and debating our favorite subjects with our friends and family, and sometimes even people we aren’t too fond of or don’t even know. For some people, it’s sports, for others it’s music, some talk politics, and others talk film. Regardless of what your poison is, the healthy debate can extend into hypotheticals. How great would LeBron James be if he played in Michael Jordan’s era or vice versa? For fans of comicbooks and fantasy, a lot of these hypotheticals can actually be real and come to fruition.
With the Internet and social media connecting so many like-minded people, fan theories are able to spread like wildfire, and because the Marvel Cinematic Universe is so popular at the moment, many of the theories making the rounds are based in that world. Take the latest one to spread for example… Reddit user K R H eff is suggesting that Odin may not have only gone on a quest for the Infinity Stones as another theory claimed, he’s saying that he actually acquired all six.
Fans of the MCU know the history of Odin after his first-born, Hela, revealed the Allfather’s past life as a ruthless conqueror. After conquering the Nine Realms, Odin had a change of heart. Reddit user bubonis theorizes that he did so when he got to the Soul Stone and learned of the sacrifice, “he found he couldn’t do it and at that moment Odin stopped being a conquerer and started being a king.” After Hela disagreed with the change, they battled, and he banished her to Hel (read the full theory HERE). K R H eff theorizes that while he may have banished her to Hel, it was done so as the sacrifice for the Soul Stone.
