Explaining How ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ Ties Into ‘Avengers 4’

Warning: Major Spoilers For Ant-Man and the Wasp Ahead!

Ant-Man and the Wasp has a ton of things going for it. It’s packed to the gills with action, heart, and a ridiculous amount of laughs. While it doesn’t carry the same type of stakes that Avengers: Infinity War did (and let’s be fair, no other film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has), it is the perfect follow-up to Infinity War. Even though it is its own stand-alone story, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t tie into the next epic MCU film, Avengers 4, because it does.

We already know Scott Lang is going to play a significant role in Avengers 4, and it is likely due to his ability to traverse the Quantum Realm. In Ant-Man and the Wasp, we learned about and saw a lot more of the Quantum Realm. From its energy to the different places inside of it, it’s going to have long-term ramifications across the MCU.

Leaked set photos have also shown what looks to be a re-creation of the Battle of New York from The Avengers, and Scott Lang is right in the middle of it all, decked out in his Pym Tech. The Avengers are also all donning some kind of device on their hands, something many are speculating will have to do with time travel, and the fact that Lang is there points in that direction. Is this something connected to the Quantum Realm?
