The Marvel Cinematic Universe and its creators have found a way to seamlessly integrate new characters from the comicbooks into every new film without it feeling forced. While it may seem easy on the surface, with Marvel Comics doing this in many of their comicbooks and series, it’s far from simple.
Continuity is everything, and finding ample time for each character in the story is tougher than it seems. While an origin story is a great way to introduce a character, it’s not the only way. The first time we saw Black Panther was in Captain America: Civil War, and we get his stand-alone on February 16th. You know what they say, “There’s more than one way to skin a cat.”
For a character like Hope van Dyne, we were introduced to her in Ant-Man before she even suits up as The Wasp. That will be coming in Ant-Man and the Wasp, coming to theaters on July 6th of this year. She’ll also be suiting up in Avengers 4 in 2019.
