Donald Glover has become somewhat of a Renaissance man in the entertainment industry. Not only is he a jack-of-all-trades of sorts, he’s doing it all at a very high level.
Glover was recognized after his work with the sketch group Derrick Comedy became popular when he was attending NYU. That led to Tina Fey bringing him on as a writer on 30 Rock when he was only 23 years old. Next, he starred on the NBC show Community, started making music as Childish Gambino, created and stars in FX’s Atlanta, and is playing Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story.
It’s one thing to be a jack-of-all-trades, it’s another to be this good at all of them. He’s a Grammy Award-winning musician, he’s won multiple Daytime Emmys, multiple Golden Globes, and it seems only a matter of time before he becomes an Oscar winner. What’s next to add to his resume? How about writer and executive producer of the new Deadpool animated series coming to FX.
