Eventually, all good things must come to an end. At least, that’s what Wade Wilson, AKA Deadpool, is implying in his latest comicbook series entitled Deadpool: Assassin. The story thus far follows the anti-hero who has recently set his memory back to the original factory settings to forget some pretty traumatic stuff that was messing with his mojo. In the spirit of moving forward, Wade’s good buddy Weasel is helping to pick the perfect guilt-free gigs to make some cash while the getting is good.
With that said, Deadpool: Assassin #3 insinuates that these may be the last few rodeos for the Merc with a Mouth because he’d ultimately like to move on to greener pastures, or in this case, a beach house.
Really the only thing stopping Wade from his destination happens to be the Assassins Guild. See, there was this little incident in which Deadpool ended up killing some of the Guild’s best killers, and now they want a taste of revenge with a side of Wade’s head on a plate.
The leader of the guild seemingly strikes a deal at the end of the third issue, but it did seem a little too easy . . .
