Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld has given the sequel to his character’s film franchise a loving appraisal after the release of its full-length trailer. The comicbook illustrator and writer has come a long way since his time in the 90’s with Marvel, taking on a new interpretation of the X-Men called X-Force in 1991.
The first issue of the comicbook series debuted with four million copies sold, breaking an industry record at the time. Liefeld is also credited with reigniting fan interest in the New Mutants series, penciling for it in 1989 and earning more of a reputation as a result.
Now that his characters Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Cable (Josh Brolin) will be appearing on the big screen together, Liefeld has expressed his uncontained hype, comparing the upcoming movie to that of another famously action-packed sequel.
