‘Daredevil’ Season 3 Will Pay Tribute To The Famous Hallways Fight Scene From Season

Now that the second season of Iron Fist has released, the countdown begins for Daredevil to make his long-awaited return to the Netflix Marvel TV universe. The third season of the show has finally been announced for a release sometime this year (possibly next month, but that is still as yet unconfirmed for now), and it seems the cast is quite ready to speak about what is to come, once and for all.

As fans probably know by now, the first order of business will be Daredevil’s return from the underworld, so to speak. When we last saw him, he was recovering from severe injuries he sustained when he sacrificed himself in The Defenders. We found him in a convent with a surprising acknowledgment of his mother, Maggie.

Unfortunately, his little reconnection with religion hasn’t given him any sense of peace or tranquility. In fact, as shown in the teaser trailer, it’s quite the opposite, and he is leaning towards the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen now more than ever. You can see our report on the Season 3 teaser trailer HERE.

It seems that the main problem with the third season will be Matt Murdock’s internal battle with his daytime occupation and identity, as the law-abiding blind lawyer and his masked vigilante alter ego. The teaser trailer only gave us a small glimpse at his troubles. Besides that, the plot is virtually unknown, including new characters, returning characters, and any new villains on the rise for our friend Matt Murdock.

Even though all this is still under wraps, for now, Charlie Cox, who plays the Devil himself, recently spoke about the upcoming season with Yahoo Movies UK and revealed a little plot point to come:

“The one thing that I am excited about is that we do have a scene in the show that is an homage to the corridor scene from series one. I’m very excited about the fans to see that.”

You can see the original season one corridor scene below:

This three-minute gruesome fight scene is what originally put the Daredevil TV series (and the Netflix Marvel TV universe as a whole) on the map as a real partnership with the MCU on the big screen. Although the Defenders are yet to meet with the Avengers, fans around the world have recognized Daredevil as a bona fide butt kicker. Another fight scene like this will surely be worth the wait! And if Charlie Cox is excited, then so are we.

Daredevil season three releases on Netflix (possibly) on October 19, 2018!
