Daredevil and Wilson Fisk have been battling for the last two seasons. Although he still remains in prison, the crimelord has not given up on his plans yet, and Season 3 will show that. D’Onofrio explained Fisks plans saying that he “Notices a thread of disease in a certain person and he pulls on that thread. And he knows if he pulls hard enough, he will get what he wants, and that is Vanessa back in his life. And once he has her, he is defined. He is complete.”

The trailer that introduces Bethel as Bullseye into the mix shows him taking on a sinister version of the Daredevil mantle, while we see Matt Murdock bloodied and beaten up, as per usual. The simultaneous ascension of Bullseye and the demise of the real Devil of Hell’s Kitchen must mean that Murdock ends up in a pretty bad spot.
Charlie Cox, who plays Murdock, confirmed that his character will be going down to new lows, the likes of which audiences have not yet seen before, saying, “We were meeting a man who was really at rock bottom. I hope, at an all-time low… We get to really enjoy through the story of Season 3 a process of convalescence – not just physically, but mentally.
In addition to Bullseye, Fisk has another possible ally in Rahul “Ray” Nadeem, played by Jay Ali. His character, according to him, is “put in charge of Wilson Fisk and it goes really well.” That’s all we really know about his character so far, but that doesn’t sound very good for our hero, or anti-hero, Murdock.
One thing we do know is that, whoever the team rosters consist of, we will be getting the considerable amount of blood and gore from the fight scenes that fans have come to know and expect from the Daredevil series. Oleson said, “I wanted the action scenes to have stakes and to be unpredictable. I wanted Matt Murdock to occasionally lose a fight and for there to be consequences for that.”
