When Avengers: Infinity War crashed landed in theaters, it did so as one of the most highly anticipated films of all time. You’ve got to think, this moment was 10 years in the making and had been hinted at throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the exact reason of getting people hyped up! Now in the aftermath of what went down when Thanos did his infamous “finger snap,” we are left with many questions about the future.
For a film of this magnitude, pulling in so many different characters from across the connected universe as well as many geographical locations that take place on different planets, there was a lot of planning and organizing that had to be put in place. Visually, that is where production designer Sean Hargreaves came in clutch. You can see his concept art for Infinity War throughout this post.
Hargreaves’ stunning concept art really shows you the original vision for some of these really important settings in the film that are iconic today.
Even Thanos’ beautiful and woodsy final resting place is detailed in some of these early designs.
There are definitely some alterations to the designs, but it’s interesting to get a behind the scenes look at the creative process as it was before Avengers: Infinity War debuted.
