It may seem like all hope is lost after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, with half of our heroes dying. Even the post-credits scene hasn’t offered distraught fans a lot of comfort, as Nick Fury also turned to dust. All we had was a small allusion to the future, and the future seems to be in the hands of Carol Danvers, otherwise known as Captain Marvel! While the details of Captain Marvel have been pretty much under wraps throughout the filming process, we have been able to sneak a few glimpses here and there of the set, in addition to some very vague details provided by the cast and crew.
After months of speculation, we know one thing! It’s not exactly a plot point, but it at least makes it feel like time is going by a little faster. Brie Larson posted on her Instagram a picture of her calendar, plus a Captain Marvel sound marker. You can see in the photo that on July 7, the box says “home.”
This means that Larson has officially finished filming Captain Marvel!
Although there could be other cast members who have not finished filming yet, the fact that the titular character is done means that the bulk of the production must be pretty close to completion. Gemma Chan, who plays Minn-Erva, also posted a wrap-photo a few weeks back.
Other cast members include Lee Pace, Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, and more. No word yet on a full wrap, but it can’t be far off!
