‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Coming Tonight With A Behind-The-Scenes Look

Marvel fans are greatly anticipating their favorite superheroes duking it out with Thanos and his Black Order in Avengers: Infinity War. Slowly but surely, the hype has been building for the Marvel Cinematic Universe crossover. Promotional material such as large posters, a stellar trailer and teases from the cast and crew have whetted the appetites of moviegoers to no end.

A recent TV spot has also been dropped, not showcasing much more from the original trailer, but features a mysterious voice (most likely from one member of the insidious Black Order) saying “The End Is Near.”

The official synopsis for Avengers: Infinity War reads:

“As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.”

According to Digital Spy (via Entertainment Weekly), the team-ups will place each gang of heroes in different parts of the world, with Doctor Strange getting together with Iron Man, Wong, Hulk, and Spider-Man. Thor will be palling around with Rocket Raccoon and Teen Groot. The remaining Guardians of the Galaxy (Gamora, Drax, Star-Lord, and Mantis) will resume their cosmic defense.

The battle for Wakanda and the whole world will feature Captain America, Black Widow, War Machine, Black Panther, M’Baku, Bucky as White Wolf, Okoye, Falcon, and Hulk. Vision will be paired up with Scarlet Witch until they’re separated, and the latter joins both Shuri and Bruce Banner.

Recently, a spot on Entertainment Tonight took Marvel fans behind-the-scenes of the third act of Infinity War, reported to be taking place entirely in Wakanda. President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, confirmed that the African nation would be an “Anchor Point” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since previous settings such as Asgard are out of play, at this point.
