Being the President of the United States of America is undoubtedly a difficult position to hold. That old Uncle Ben line “with great power comes great responsibility” certainly holds water, even in the White House, especially in a world full of super-powered beings. Can you imagine being the average politician having to make calls about the security of American citizens while knowing there are villains with the ability to virtually wipe out entire cities? No easy task indeed.
Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel, has become somewhat of a household name since she was introduced to the Marvel comicbook universe back in Captain Marvel #14 (August 2013). She has proven herself to be one of the most justice-driven characters, focused on stopping evil, and not because being a superhero and beating up bad guys is enjoyable, but for the sake of doing what’s right on a daily basis. It’s qualities like these that made her the top candidate for the presidency.
Perhaps it’s her grounded nature and brilliant mind that landed her a seat in the big chair in the White House. That’s right Kamala Khan is the President of the United States of America in the future of “Old Woman Laura”!
All New Wolverine #33 jumps years into the future where X-23, Laura Kinney, has given up the mantle of Wolverine and become the Queen of Madripoor. Honey Badger AKA Gabby Kinney is the new Wolverine in this setting, many years in the future after the events of the Doom War, where a group of heroes battled with villains led by Doctor Doom.
